URPoint Details
Samuel Plimsoll was born in Bristol on the 10th February1824. He introduced the use of the 'Plimsoll Line' on ships in 1876. He died in Folkestone on 3 June 1898, and buried in St Martin's churchyard, Cheriton, Kent.
