URPoint Details
A village south of Campbeltown on a bay at the foot of Saddell Glen with the remains of a 12th century Cistercian monastery.
The monastery is supposed to have been founded by Somerled, the first Lord of the Isles.
Saddell Castle southeast of the village, is a battlemented tower dating from 1509.
