This lovely late 15th century medieval chapel of a former manor house is remarkable for its 17th century fittings, including two sumptuous domed and canopied pews. One may have been used by Queen Elizabeth I, the other was installed for Charles I.
On the coloured ceiling are traces of tiny gold stars painted onto Elizabethan playing cards. It also has magnificent Jacobean pews and benches.
