URPoint Details
A market town full of charm and character and stands in the green Clwyd Valley, and has a mixture of Tudor, Georgian and medieval buildings.
One of these fine buildings in the centre is called ‘The Eyes of Ruthin’, and you can see why.
It’s a house with seven Dutch style dormer windows, set into the red tile roof of the 17th century Myddleton Arms.
The remnants of a medieval castle, now the very grand Ruthin Castle Hotel, the church of St Peter’s dating from the 13th century, the old courthouse (now a bank), and many other ancient buildings, make this a definite must on your visit to Wales.
