This Wicklow granite Palladian mansion with its central collonnaded block and two wings was started in 1714 and took nearly ten years to build for Joseph Leeson, Earl of Milltown.

Important internal features include stucco ceilings by the Lanfrancini brothers, fine silver, bronze, porcelain, furniture, tapestries and carpets.

The house was bought in 1952 by Sir Alfred Beit as a home for the Beit Collection.
