URPoint Details
A stream running through Glen Roy famous for its parallel roads of Roy (raised beaches) with Roy Bridge at the foot of the glen. These roads portray the most striking evidence of glacial action in Scotland.
It was here at Roy Bridge the last clan battle was fought between the MacDonnells of Keppoch and the MacIntoshes on 4th August 1688, and is said to have been the final record of bows and arrows by the Highlanders.
