URPoint Details

Nestling on the southern edge of the Perthshire Highlands in the picturesque riverside village of Comrie, the Royal Hotel is a handsome 18th century coaching inn.

Aptly named it has played host to Queen Victoria and her confidant John Brown, who signed the guest register, while Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands stayed between the two world wars - her signed portrait hangs in the hotel.

Light snacks are also served in the public bar or on warmer days in the walled garden, while pre-dinner drinks can be taken in the comfortable lounge bar with 170 single malt whiskies from which to choose.
Natural ingredients sourced locally feature high on the menu including prime Scotch beef, lamb, venison, salmon, trout, game and sea and shell fish.
