URPoint Details
There is one long street in the town lined by beautiful Tudor and Georgian houses and thatched cottages. At one end is a farm which incorporates a manor house dating from the 13th century.
The church restored at the end of the 19th century shows traces of a Norman building, particularly in the vestry arch. The south aisle is 13th century and some of the lancet windows are ancient.
The manor house is part Elizabethan, the chapel is 13th century and the splendid barn is 14th century.
