Level access is available at the North Door; disabled toilets are open within the Cathedral. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
Founded by St Augustine in 604, this abbey cathedral was partially destroyed by the Danes, and rebuilt by Bishop Gundulph (1024-1108) who established an order of Benedictine monks. Basically Norman, the rest is Early English in style.
