The Wey is one of the earliest historic waterways, built in 1651. The later Godalming Navigation (1760), extended the waterway from the River Thames at Weybridge to Godalming Wharf. This tranquil 19 mile waterway retains its old locks and weirs and supports varied flora and fauna and many species of waterbirds.
