A river, strath and picturesque small 7 mile loch with Ben Vorlich rising on the south shore.
In Glen Ample on the south shore are the spectacular Falls of Edinample.
The river Earn flows from the east end of the loch through Strath Earn and joins the River Tay near Perth.
