Looking down from the hilltop 11th century ruined castle the town is beautifully laid out with many twisting alleys and open spaces and in the cobbled market place is the Holy Trinity Church. Off the market place is the Georgian theatre dating from 1788.
In the market place is an obelisk erected in the 18th century.
