Colourful cottages sit perched on top of the cliffs with fine sandy beach below which runs to the island of Burry Holms.
Rhossili Down rises steeply to 632ft, and is the highest point on the Gower Peninsula.
Views of Devon some 40 miles away can be seen on a clear day.
In the churchyard are some beautiful headstones covered with moss and lichen, but one stone in particular is memorable.
The headstone of Petty Officer Edgar Evans, one of the small party of Captain Robert Scott’s final expedition to the South Pole in 1911-12.
Evans died on the return journey, along with Scott and the rest of the men.
