URPoint Details
An attractive village at the east end of Wensleydale, down a quiet lane between Wensley and Castle Bolton, and sheltered to the north by limestone hills.
Cottages of pale stone round a large green crossed by footpaths, and in one corner is a gnarled ancient oak.
The parish Church of St Mary, lies isolated from the village, has a finely carved Norman south doorway and simple Norman font.
