URPoint Details
This red stone tower on a steep mound beside the sandhills of Lunan Bay probably dates from the 15th century, when it replaced an earlier fort built for William the Lion by Walter de Berkely.
Robert the Bruce gave it to Hugh, 6th Earl of Ross in 1328.
