Rawtenstall

The terminus for the award winning East Lancashire Steam Railway, Rawtenstall is at the heart of Rossendale.
A short stroll from the station you will find Herbal Health, the last remaining temperance bar in Britain and the only opportunity to sample original old concoctions such as black beer, sarsaparilla and dandelion and burdock.

In the grounds of Whitaker Park, the Rossendale Museum carefully preserves the social history of the area.

One of the finest examples of an 18th Century loom shop can be found in the Weaver's Cottage at Fall Barn Fold.
