The Church of St Thomas à Becket, (Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust) lies beside Abbey Green and was originally built in 1180 by the Norman's as an infirmary to the Abbey. The tower was added in 1672. The arcade and chancel are 12th century and the column capitals are most interesting. The stone vault in the chancel is unusual and early in date. Of note is the 13th century font and stained glass.
