Quarry Bank Mill, (NT), 1½m N of Wilmslow off B5166. Open April to September Mill: daily 11am-6pm (last admission 4.30pm). Apprentice House & Garden (closed Mondays except Bank Holidays), Tuesday to Friday 2-4.30pm. Weekends 11am-6pm. October to March daily 11am-5pm (closed Mondays and last admission 3.30pm). Admission charge. Mill shop sells goods made from cloth woven in the Mill. The Mill Kitchen is licensed and the Mill Pantry serves snacks and refreshments. No dogs allowed.
Disabled drivers may park in Mill Yard, disabled visitors may disembark in Mill Yard; cars must then be parked in car park; shop accessible via steep ramp; access to Mill via ramps, step lift allow visitors to see social history galleries and weaving shed, access to waterwheel and waterforce gallery can be arranged. Access to Apprentice House: is limited to three rooms on ground floor. Historic garden accessible to wheelchair users; attractions for visually impaired visitors include talking map, varied smells and noises from machinery, waterwheel and inter-active water-powered exhibits.
