URPoint Details
Once the home of the noted historian George Lipscombe, Quainton is a large village with several features of interest including Georgian houses and, near the green, a row of 17th century almshouses.
On the north side of the village is the 19th century tower windmill.
At the eastern end of the main street is the church which is noted for its very large collection of 17th and 18th century monuments. Part of the painted rood screen also survives.
