URPoint Details
The church dates from the 15th century and has three Perpendicular windows of interest.
There are Norman aisles and the old tapestries and various memorials.
The striking tower is in the Perpendicular style.
In the churchyard is the grave of Mary Morgan, hanged in 1805 aged 17 for the murder of her illegitimate child.
Her lover, who was a party to the crime and gave her the knife with which to do it, then sat as a member of the jury that condemned her.
A royal pardon was granted but, sadly, arrived too late to save her.
