URPoint Details
The village is not mentioned in the Domesday Book, but a Saxon cross was discovered in the churchyard together with a doorway of a Norman chapel.
The River Bollin flows through the village and with the pretty bow-fronted shop windows in the main street, Georgian houses, and the beautiful little two storeyed timber-framed house opposite the churchyard entrance all make for an attractive place to visit.
