One of the world's great gardens situated in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains, begun by Richard Wingfield, Viscount Powerscourt in the 1740s.
This 19 hectare garden is spectacular with formal gardens, sweeping terraces, ornamental lakes with walled gardens, secret walks and over 200 species of trees and shrubs.
Close by on the estate is Ireland's highest waterfall.
