There is gentle ramp access from outside, into the main foyer for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Accessible Toilets are on the basement level. The legroom in the Main Auditorium varies between the Stalls, Upper Stalls and Circle. Seats in The Lens Studio are freestanding with no arm rests and have a width of 470mm. The Main Auditorium has a wheelchair platform located at the back of the Upper Stalls Area. This is accessed via a wheelchair lift in the corridor
Dominating the city centre, the soaring classical facade of Portsmouth\'s imposing Guildhall welcomes visitors and entertainment seekers alike. Reduced to a blackened shell by World War II bombing, the Guildhall was reopened by HM the Queen in 1959 as one of Britain's finest musical venues: the 2000 seat auditorium has near perfect acoustics.
