URPoint Details
Poole is unusual in that the ‘heart’ is a 15 acre area beside the harbour with 80 houses, a church, six pubs, the old Guildhall, the Customs House, 30 shops and some other interesting buildings.
There are some fine parks, gently sloping sandy beaches and unspoiled countryside make this a delightful holiday resort.
The Town Hall has an external double staircase erected in 1761.
In the middle of the harbour is Brownsea Island covered in heath and woodland and is a nature reserve.
