Pocklington

A market town nestling in the shadow of the Yorkshire Wolds, with many attractive houses along the street towards the church, sometimes called ‘the cathedral of the wolds’. A memorial on the wall commemorates the 18^th century pilot Tom Pelling who performed acrobatic tricks on a high wire between the church and the nearby inn.
