URPoint Details
Three nature trails covering the Meden Trail, the Rowthorne Trail and the Teversal Trail. Trails follow disused railway track beds through the North East of the County and into West Nottinghamshire.
Sheltered cuttings and embankments, with wide views over the area, act as important corridors for wildlife.
Parts of the route run through Magnesian Limestone and are protected sites of special scientific interest due to the distinctive plants they support.
In places where the lines have been closed for some time, woodland has developed, supporting a different variety of wildlife.
