URPoint Details

A very small and pretty village with a post office/store and a cluster of houses round the green.
Either way you enter this charming little hamlet you arrive in the wooded valley of the Finn, winding along to join the Deben at Martlesham Creek.
The river is now just a stream but it once had a pack-horse bridge.

The church of St Mary stands high on the hill. Go through the lychgate, up the steep ascent to the magnificent doorway to one of only two churches in Britain to have an upright brass. The brass is that of Sir George Felbrigge once owner of Playford and large estates in Norfolk. Two pre-Reformation bells are still rung from the tower after 500 years.
