URPoint Details
An agricultural town siting in the Pewsey Valley, has many delightful thatched cottages and Georgian houses. At the crossroads a statue of King Alfred looks across the River Avon.
The church dates from the 12th to 15th century has a few interesting treasures including the mahogany altar rails taken from a ship captured by Nelson off Cape St Vincent in 1797.
