Peterhead (Ceann Phadraig or Inbhir Uigidh)
Red granite buildings and the harbour once used as a whaling station make this a very attractive town and is the most easterly Scottish town.
The town and seaport owes its foundation in the late 16th century to George Keith, 5th Earl Marischal and later to another George Keith, the 5th Earl Marischal and another George Keith who was the 109th and last Earl was exiled after 1815 when James, the Old Pretender landed here.
