A seaside resort with a good safe beach, promenade, pleasant streets and Victorian terraces, sitting in a hollow between Moel Llys at 1,180ft and the great headland of Penmaenmawr at 1,550ft.
Up in the hills is a Druidical circle ‘Maen Hirion’ also the site of Dinas Penmaen which by legend the Britons defended against the Romans.
