URPoint Details
Neat terraced cottages line one side of the main street looking out over the tidal marshes and salty turf with sturdy Gower ponies live. The estuary is famous for its cockles and where once the cockle-women used to ride on flat horse-drawn carts with their forks and sieves. An Iron Age fort at Pen-y-Gaer has splendid views over the estuary and seawards to Carmarthen Bay
