URPoint Details
The Tyne Water divides this charming town into two.
In Western Pencaitland is an old Mercat Cross.
Eastern Pencaitland has the church dating from the 13th century and still retains the original north sacristy.
There are also three old sundials and a fine 17th century west doorway, a laird’s loft while the tower dates from 1631.
