URPoint Details
Peasemore is on the edge of the downland and is a place where some discreet modern housing merges amicably with the older thatched cottages.
The church was rebuilt in 1842 and Street added to the chancel in 1866. However, the brick built tower is older as the inscription of '1737 Will Coward Gent, built ye tower'. An attractive feature of the chancel is the frontal consisting of five Netherlandish panels of the l7th century, a forceful design.
