Peak District Lead Mining Museum & Temple Mine

Open all year, 10.30am-4.30pm, longer in season. Closed Christmas Day. Admission charge to museum and car park. The ground floor is fully accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Temple Mine is accessed via a short steep slope and there are steps inside.

Large exhibition on 2500 years of lead mining, with a hands on experience in geology, mines, miners, tools and engines. The climbing shaft is suitable for children
