The village is famous for the association with the Paston family who lived here in the 15th century. Letters written by John Paston and his family cover a period from 1422 to 1509. The letters are famous for the description of life in those days.
Paston Barn near the village is 163ft long and built of flint and has a steeped roof.
St Margaret’s Church is a 14th century thatched church has some delightful wall paintings and memorials to the Paston family dated 1628 and 1632.
