URPoint Details
A must do whilst here is to drive along the Penrhyndeudraeth road (A487) and through the so called Pass.
Although not a pass but a great gorge through which the Glaslyn breaks its way through the hills into the Traeth Mawr.
On either side are larch and pine clad cliffs with heathy crags above.
At the further end of the gorge is Pont Aberglaslyn is an old shingle-arch bridge leading from the pass.
