A mile from the stately ruins of Old Gracedieu near the edge of the Charnwood Forest, Osgathorpe in its tranquil valley home has long been noted for its neatly arranged cottages and the tidy air which prevails in the parish.
The 12th century church and the 17th century school, both gracious in their different architecture, share with the almshouses a special place in this lovely village.
