Orlingbury Hall occupies the site of the former Beaver Manor built in the 10th century, which was lived in by the Lanes, the Toffes and the Chybnalls.
In the late l7th century this property was purchased and demolished down to cellar level and rebuilt by Richard Young, whose family owned the house for the next two centuries. The Young crest features a Bend Sable with three griffin heads within a shield and can be seen on the outbuildings.
The Hall, being Grade II Listed for both archaeological and historical interest, is a fine example of Queen Anne architecture built of Northamptonshire stone with limestone dressings and steep gabled Collyweston roof.
The property contains fine gardens, parkland and woodlands and a lake, extending for a total of 140 acres.
