Nuneham Courtnay - Church of All Saints

All Saints Old Church (HCT)

This church was built as a domed Palladian temple with an Ionic portico to ornament the landscape. Its site overlooking the Thames is indeed magnificent. The portico fronts a blank wall and the entrance to the church is at the west end. Inside there are 17th and 18th century Italian fittings introduced in the 1880's, and effigies and busts of the Harcourts.
