Norwich St John's Church (Churches Conservation Trust), sits amidst the narrow ways of Norwich, and best seen from the north, where its beautiful tower stands over Maddermarket Alley, giving one of the city's most attractive townscapes. The church is basically Perpendicular but with a Decorated east window. Inside it is dominated by a handsome and massive early Georgian balsachino. There are other fine fittings and woodwork and several interesting monuments. Grade I listed building
