Norwich Castle Museum

The castle dates from 12th century. The keep is now a museum and has one of the finest collections of porcelain, musical instruments and works by local artists. The River Wensum formed a natural defence from invaders on three sides. There were 10 fortified gateways and the dungeons have death masks of executed prisoners.
