St Mary the Virgin dates from 1330 and is built of ironstone. There are two lovely stained-glass windows dated early 1600's and some stalls in the chancel have carved misericords dating from 1404 when the Church became collegiate. Two great stained-glass windows were commissioned by the Grocers Company, patrons of the Church in 1664. The church clock was made by one of the Tompions.
