Take a tour lasting 2 - 3 hours opening with a background video and safety talk before going trackside. There is also a shop and buffet on the site; car park; minimum age 18 years; not suitable for the disabled; the wearing of old clothes is advised as locomotives are dirty.
See inside a large locomotive, also a steam engine being prepared for the next days operation. Look at signalling and ride the train. In 1981 a group was formed with the intention of re-opening the branch from Northampton to Market Harborough. Three years later the Society started work in the old goods shed at Pitsford and Brampton station to re-build the railway. Phase I is now complete consisting of a station, two signal boxes, 1240 metres of running line and additional sidings. When completed to Lamport crossing, the line will be approximately 6½ miles long.
