There are two adjoining villages of North and South Collingham.
The church in North Collingham has fine 13th century work in the nave.
The church in South Collingham has a good Norman north nave arcade and much 13th and 14th century work.
A plaque on the village cross, records that in 1795 the River Trent burst its banks and swept through the village causing a flood 5ft deep.
