URPoint Details
This extensive farming village stands between Aylesbury and Winslow and has a rather an unusual link with Queen Victoria.
A local man, one J.C.Neild, left extremely valuable property to the queen. Victoria used the money to buy her Balmoral Estate but enough was left to restore, in 1855, North Marston church in memory of the benefactor. The architect of the work was Sir Matthew Digby Wyatt. Of note are the carved stalls and misericords, the reredos and some contemporary stained glass.
