Newtonmore Golf Club

Founded in 1893, this 6031 par 70, 18 hole course is renowned as the club with more left-handed players than any other in world golf. It is a legacy of the Highland team game of shinty at which Newtonmore excels. Many club members can play golf either right or left-handed.

Because of the left-handed influence the club invited New Zealanders Bob Charles, the only left-handed player to win the Open Championship to open the new clubhouse extension in 1984.
