URPoint Details
A beautiful village sitting on the south bank of the River Tweed, to the west of the point where it is joined by the Leader Water and on Leaderfoot Hill is a monument marking the site of a Roman Camp.
To the south rise the triple-peaked Eildon hills.
To the east in a bend of the Tweed is the old monastery site of Old Melrose founded in the 7th century.
