URPoint Details
Nell Gwynne's House, dates from 1640 and is where Nell Gwynne once lived. Her only son by King Charles II inherited the house.
Walk into cobbled Church Street, opposite the castle exit, and you'll feel like you've travelled back in time. Many of the buildings in the street are several hundred years old. Midway down the street is the house where Nell Gwynne lived. She was the famous mistress of King Charles II (in about 1669). No doubt the location was convenient for all concerned.
