Open by appointment all year A 14th century castle, later converted in the 17th century to a tower house is set amidst beautiful scenery on the River Tweed.
In the great hall is an exhibit of beautiful batiks depicting the life of Mary, Queen of Scots.

The Laigh Hall contains an important and informative collection of tartans. There are some great views from the parapet.

The resident ghost, the Maid of Neidpath (if you are lucky enough to feel her presence), will do you no harm.

Peebles coat of arms depicts a ‘salmon’ and motto ‘Against the stream they multiply’.
