Britain's most famous school founded by Henry VI in 1440, whose statue can be seen in School Yard.
Its true name is The King's College of Our Lady beside Windsor. It was built to provide accommodation for seventy poor scholars who would (then go on to further their education at King's College, Cambridge).
Eton College is one of the most exclusive schools in the world and you can take a two hour tour which includes the oldest classroom in the world, the site of the Eton Wall game and the Museum of Eton Life.
The long list of famous men who have been educated here includes twenty former prime ministers.
